Scary Baboon

Can't join Scary Baboon? Check connection, version and lobby

Start by separating a headset network failure from a Scary Baboon loading or lobby failure. This guide checks symptoms and support routes, not live backend uptime.

Check the game and the symptom

Confirm you installed the main Scary Baboon app, 6458628580871969, and note the visible version. Compare it with the current Meta listing; this guide has not reproduced a connection failure in a headset. A 2024 player thread establishes an older question, not an ongoing 2026 bug.

We have no authenticated game-backend probe. Backend availability is unknown here unless a current developer notice says otherwise. Opening the store or Discord cannot establish that a lobby works.

For a copyable record, use the local connection checklist below. It includes separate Scary, SandBox, Huss-upload and Roblox branches.

Your symptom Reversible check Expected observation and when to stop
Headset cannot access other online content Follow Meta’s current Wi-Fi route below. The headset connects to the intended network. If it cannot, stop game-level diagnosis and follow Meta support.
Store or installation unavailable Recheck app ID, supported headset and your account’s listing availability. Either the correct listing is accessible or you have a store/account issue to report. Do not substitute an APK.
App will not open or stops loading Record the failing screen, visible version and exact error; close and reopen once. Record whether the same step fails. Repeated failure goes to developer support; reopening is an observation, not a promised fix.
Public lobby works but a friend’s room does not Record that difference and compare the exact game and visible versions with your friend. This narrows the symptom to that joining path. Current private-room inputs have not been verified here; do not invent a code format or bypass.
No lobby works while other services work Check the developer’s community for a dated notice; record the error and time zone. A notice can explain an incident. No notice leaves the cause unresolved; send the evidence to support.

Verify the headset’s Wi-Fi connection

Meta’s current help article gives this route: press the right controller’s Meta/Oculus button to open Navigator, then choose Quick controls → Settings → Wi-Fi. Enable Wi-Fi if needed, select your own network and choose Connect. Enter its password only on your headset.

Stop when the headset connects. If the connection fails, use the troubleshooting/support links in that Meta article. A successful Wi-Fi connection does not diagnose the game’s backend.

If the failure continues

Use the support preparation template with the failing stage, version, device, time and observed result. For a platform bug, Meta explains its separate bug-report process, including the information and optional diagnostics it collects.

Do not start with uninstalling, clearing data or a factory reset. Those actions may affect local data; ask the responsible support team about the exact app and backup/purchase implications first.

Build a connection-check summary

Choose the exact game and failure stage, then record the checks you actually made. This tool does not probe a game backend or send a report.
